Once upon a time

My story begins with my grandmother, a woman of timeless elegance who embodied grace in everything she did. She often told me tales of Gabrielle Chanel and Sophia Loren—icons of style and strength who inspired her. To me, though, she was the true icon. Always impeccably dressed, with a touch of lipstick, amber jewelry, pearls, and the soft embrace of a signature perfume, she was a living example of poise and beauty.From her, I inherited not only her elegance but her love for life’s finer details. Among the many lessons she passed down, one was especially magical: the art of designing tea. My childhood was a happy symphony of fragrant herbs and sunny days in the mountains near our home. My grandmother and I would venture out to gather nature’s treasures—linden blossoms from trees, lemon balm, thyme, lavender, and calendula from open fields. The mountain air seemed to sing as we worked, our hands busy but our hearts at peace. Back home, we would lay our gathered herbs in the sunny living room to dry, filling the house with the rich, earthy aromas of the fields. Once dried, the herbs were carefully stored in glass jars, each one a time capsule of scent and memory to be savored throughout the year.

The Brand

At 18, I embarked on a new chapter, moving to the Netherlands to pursue my education. Little did I know that I would fall in love—not with the tall, blonde men of Amsterdam—but with the city’s culture, entrepreneurial spirit, and vibrant energy. Amsterdam became my second home, a place that shaped my mindset and inspired my dreams. The mix of cultures, the focus on sustainability, and the beauty of tulips, canals, and windmills—all of it became part of me.
In 2019, drawing on my Bulgarian roots and my Dutch inspiration, I created RoseTulips. This brand represents my journey and my vision: the roses of Bulgaria meeting the tulips of the Netherlands, a union of tradition and innovation.
