Story
"Some of the most beautiful things in life begin quietly, with a handful of petals, a warm cup, and the memory of someone who taught you to pay attention."
Where It All Began
Long before RoseTulips had a name, it lived in the hands of a grandmother who believed that beauty was a daily practice, never vanity, always devotion.
She was a woman of timeless elegance. Amber jewelry caught the light at her collarbone. Pearls rested against pressed silk. A signature perfume announced her presence before she entered a room. She told stories of Chanel and Sophia Loren as though they were old friends, not because she knew them, but because she understood what they stood for: the quiet power of a woman who tends to herself with care.
It was she who first placed dried linden blossoms into a small girl's open palms. Together they wandered the Bulgarian mountains, gathering thyme from sun-warmed slopes, calendula from wild meadows, lemon balm from the edges of old gardens, lavender from terraces that overlooked the valley. They dried the herbs in bright living rooms, stored them in glass jars lined along kitchen shelves, and blended them by intuition, by scent, by love.
That small girl was Yana. And that was where the art of designing tea was born.

From Bulgaria to Amsterdam
At eighteen, Yana left Bulgaria for the Netherlands, carrying little more than curiosity and the quiet confidence her grandmother had planted in her.
She came for education. She stayed because Amsterdam became home. The canal-lined streets, the creative spirit, the culture of openness and reinvention, it all resonated with something she already carried inside: the belief that tradition and innovation are not opposites, but partners.
Years passed. She built a career, shaped a life, fell deeper in love with the city and its contradictions, its boldness and its calm, its modernity and its timelessness. And through it all, the memory of those glass jars, those mountain herbs, that grandmother's hands, stayed close.

The Birth of RoseTulips
In 2019, something that had been growing quietly for years finally found its shape.
RoseTulips was born, a name that held the whole story in two words. The roses of Bulgaria, where it all began. The tulips of the Netherlands, where it all came together. Tradition meeting innovation. Heritage meeting new ground. East meeting West in a single cup.
Every blend was crafted with 100% natural ingredients, no shortcuts, no synthetics, no compromise. Each recipe was an act of care: designed not simply to taste beautiful, but to nourish wellbeing from the inside out. The same philosophy that grandmother had lived without ever naming it.
RoseTulips became more than a tea brand. It became a reminder, that the simplest rituals, done with intention, can change the texture of an entire day.

When Motherhood Changed Everything
And then, as life does, everything shifted again.
Yana became a mother, twice, in quick succession. Two children under two. The beautiful chaos of new life, the sleepless devotion, the identity that stretches and reforms in ways no one quite prepares you for.
In those early, raw, tender months, tea became more than ritual. It became survival. A warm cup held in both hands during a quiet feed at 3 a.m. A moment of stillness in a day that had none. A small, sacred act of self-care when everything else belonged to someone else.
The Mama Tea line was born from this, not from theory, but from lived experience. Blends for postpartum recovery, for breastfeeding support, for emotional grounding, for a body that had given everything and deserved to be nourished in return. Created by a mother who understood, deeply, what was needed.

The Art of Slowing Down
What We Believe
We believe that slowing down is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
We believe that the way you begin your morning, the pause you take at midday, the quiet cup you hold before sleep, these are not small things. They are the architecture of a well-lived life.
We believe in ingredients that come from the earth, not a factory. In recipes passed between generations, refined with care, and offered with love.
We believe that self-care is not selfish. That a mother who tends to herself teaches her children something words cannot.
We believe in conscious living, in beauty as a daily practice, and in the quiet revolution of choosing yourself, one cup at a time.
From Amsterdam, With Love
Today, RoseTulips is still rooted in the same things it began with: a grandmother's wisdom, a handful of wild herbs, and the belief that something as simple as tea can hold a world of meaning.
Every blend is crafted here in Amsterdam, where the canals reflect the sky and the tulips return each spring without fail. A city that taught Yana that reinvention is not about leaving the past behind, it's about carrying it forward with grace.
We invite you to slow down. To pour with intention. To hold the warmth between your hands and remember that this moment, right now, is yours.

With love, Yana
